A $14,600 contract was awarded to engineering firm Keller & Kirkpatrick to reconstruct Cedar Grove Parkway, according to Municipal Clerk Kathleen Stutz. Council members approved the contract at an Aug. 4 meeting.
The contract is a year-long agreement designating the firm to design and reconstruct the parkway, which is bordered by Fairview and Pompton avenues.
The “curb needs to be replaced,” Township Manager Thomas Tucci said during the meeting. He added that construction will begin once designs for the project are completed and approved, either this fall or next spring.
Stutz said The New Jersey Department of Transportation provided $232,000 to Cedar Grove for the reconstruction and repair of the street.
